Representing Innovation Forum

Three talks across the day, in the two Shuffle Rooms. Each one is thirty minutes; the full abstracts are on the BCS Hertfordshire programme (opens external site).

  1. 11:15Shuffle Room 2Yavin Owens
  2. 13:00Shuffle Room 1Keith Brown
  3. 13:30Shuffle Room 2Dr Yaniv Proselkov
  • Yavin Owens

    11:15Shuffle Room 2

    Yavin Owens

    Director, Innovation Forum

Yavin is a Director of Innovation Forum. With a background in data quality across utilities and professional services, Yavin now builds AI agent systems for Innovation Forum — with the emphasis on making them safe to adopt: what an agent may see, what it may decide, and how a person stays accountable for the result.

    The talk

Augmented, Not Automated: Engineering AI Agents an Organisation Can Trust

The engineering patterns that make agentic work safe to adopt — sealing sensitive data away from the model, provenance, reconciliation and human sign-off — and how small, open models put them within reach of charities, councils and small firms.

  • Keith Brown

    13:00Shuffle Room 1

    Keith Brown

CEO and Interim Director, Global Innovation Forum

Keith is CEO and Interim Director of Global Innovation Forum, the company behind Innovation Forum. Keith’s MBA research looked across 154 UK charities and Community Interest Companies, and Keith now asks how AI could make the evidence behind organisational decisions easier to find, connect and challenge.

    The talk

AI, Organisational Memory and the Erosion of Information Asymmetry

Whether cheaper scrutiny will make governance more demonstrable — or create stronger ways of controlling the organisational record — across RPA, IPA and agentic systems.

  • Dr Yaniv Proselkov

    13:30Shuffle Room 2

    Dr Yaniv Proselkov

    CTO, AIOS

Yaniv is CTO of AIOS and speaks with Innovation Forum at the conference. Yaniv’s work looks at how university research creates value long before it earns revenue, and how universities, investors, practitioners and beneficiaries can see that value early enough to act on it.

    The talk

Bridging Universities, Capital, and Real-World Projects: A Translational Framework for Impact Measurement

A proposed model for tracing how research creates practical, societal and financial impact through its stakeholder network, so investment can come earlier and be better coordinated.

02 — The hackathon on the day · Challenge 03

Beyond the Mainframe

Synthetic IT cost, usage and carbon data, and one objective: find a single insight a finance director could act on. Not a dashboard, not a model — one finding, with the reasoning shown.

Two steps: apply for a place through our form so we can set up your team, and book an in-person conference ticket from BCS Hertfordshire. Design, Analyse, Build and Standardise skills all count — no prior coding needed. PCs are provided; bring your own laptop if you prefer. Every participant gets a certificate.
