The programme

How an event works

One day, one domain's data, mixed teams of up to five. A kick-off and a brief in the morning, building against real data, mentor checks after lunch, then judging and a showcase. Every event in the season runs the same way — only the problem changes.

How it works

How the day runs

Mixed teams, real data, expert mentors and a hard stop. Time pressure forces a tight scope: pick a target, a few sources, one insight.

Four ways to answerA build, an analysis, a design or a shared standard can all answer a challenge. Pick the one that suits your team.

  1. Track 01

    Build it

A dashboard, app, map or integration that merges the sources into one view.

  2. Track 02

    Make sense of it

An analysis that reveals a pattern others would miss.

  3. Track 03

    Design it

A clear interface for a busy non-expert — one screen that tells the story.

  4. Track 04

    Standardise it

A common language or lookup so the sources can talk to each other.

Getting a place

100 places, first come, first served

Teams of up to five. Enter solo and we will help you find one on the day — mixed skills and ages are the whole point. Hand-code, low-code, no-code or build with an AI assistant.

  1. 1

    Register

A short form — your name, email, and which challenge interests you.

  2. 2

    Pick a challenge

Choose one of the five — the one whose date and problem suit you.

  3. 3

    Joining pack

We confirm your place and send datasets, venue and details.

  4. 4

    Set up GitHub

Free, takes two minutes. Your team works in its own repository.

  5. 5

    Turn up and build

Bring a team or form one on the day. We will help you.

Let's build all five.

Partners and sponsors, datasets and starter code, mentors and judges, a venue and a date — tell us which one you can bring.
